The easiest way to add a low budget backyard pool is to start with a basic above-ground pool, and give it a permanent space. Build a nice frame, add some strategic landscaping, and no one will know that your “built-in” pool is actually from Walmart.
If you live in the rural side of town, or you have access to several dozen hay bales, you can create your own wading pool. This option doesn’t make a very deep swim, but if you’ve got littles that just need space to splash, this is the perfect option.
